 showcasing 
the
 exquisite 
jewellery 
and
 accessories 
made
 in 
Africa.
 ZANAA derived from Sanaa in Swahili which means work of art/beauty and Zagaa in Swahili which means illuminate. Based on the rich and diverse African canvas seeking inspiration from cultures and age-old artisan techniques and keeping these alive for generations and continuing the African legacy of craftsmanship. To collaborate with artisans who would otherwise never have the opportunity to have their pieces revered by an audience outside of their domain, these 
artisans 
in
 Uganda,
 Ethiopia
 and 
South
 Africa,
 fuse 
traditional
 techniques 
such 
as
 weaving 
and 
beading 
with
 a
 modern
 aesthetic 
to 
create
 show-stopping 
pieces.

Founded
 in
 2009,
 ZANAA
 dreams
 of
 adorning
 stylists from
 London 
to
 Los 
Angeles
 and
 Cape
 Town
 to 
Cannes.
 They don’t
 believe
 that
 dream
 needs
 to
 come
 true
 at
 the
 expense
 of
 people
 or
 the
 planet.
 Acting
 responsibly
 and
 leaving
 a
 legacy
 are
 some
 of
 the
 principles
 that
 make
 ZANAA
 more
 than
 just
 a
 product.
 Their
 glass
 beads 
are
 made from both
 natural and 
recyclable 
materials.

ZANAA
 was
 established
 by
 Linda
 Lwanga,
 who
 is
 also
 the principle
 designer.
 Unable
 any
 longer
 to
 deny
 her
 passion
 for
 accessories
 or
 to
 ignore
 the
 fact
 that
 the
 traditional
 skills of 
weaving
 and
 beading 
were 
slowly 
being 
lost 
in
 her
 native
 Uganda,
 Linda
  left
 her 
career 
in
 engineering, 
sought
 out
 the 
best
 artisans
 and 
ZANAA
 was 
born.
 And 
collaboration 
continues 
to
 be 
central 
to
 the
 ZANAA 
philosophy.

 lively
 personality.

 her
 to
 set
 up
 a
 school
 to
 teach
 beading.

alive
 and 
to 
celebrate 
the
 people 
who 
create
 fabulous
