Indigo Master // Aboubakar Fofana x Choolips

Choolips is starting a somewhat new journey during this July. They will be hosting legendary Indigo Master, Aboubakar Fofana, who will teach the ancient West African art of indigo & mud dye at the Choolips Studio, a unique space in the heart of Whitechapel, the top floor of a former leather factory; this spacious location is a warm welcoming environment.

Malian-born Aboubakar Fofana is one of the world’s most accomplished indigo dyers, and he will be bringing his expertise in indigo and mud dye to London throughout July in a series of workshops. Aboubakar is most passionate about preserving the beauty of this West African art. This will be a truly golden opportunity for anyone who would love the best introduction to this ancient art.

10/11/12 July 15 – 3day Indigo workshop

17/18/19 July 15 – 3day Mud-dye workshop

24/25/26 July 15 – 3day Indigo workshop

Places are limited to 10students per workshop. Early Bird Fee £400 until beginning of June/Full Fee £430.
