Merchants on Long is an all African concept shop based in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa launched by Hanneli Rupert in 2010. This South African destination boutique features and merchandises around 22 designers and artisanal goods from all over the African continent and what we love is that it promotes the importance of “Made In Africa” product.

Merchants on Long owner and designer, Hanneli Rupert is excited about the venture and showcase her buying ethos which has been focused on bringing together the best of Africa under one roof.

‘I wanted to create an environment that has the ability to transport you, it is meant to remind visitors why the bravest explorers and pioneers of the arts and sciences came to Africa in the first place’. says Hanneli

New to the POP-UP space at The Shop at Bluebird, London, Merchants On Long encompasses contemporary African fashion, art and homewear. Much like The Shop at Bluebird’s philosophy, the Merchants support local fashions and design, so what a better place to host their most coveted items than in their POP-UP shop? Here’s a peek at what’s in store.
