For the 20th anniversary B-side by Walé presents SS15 collection ‘The Faded Weekend’ capturing the vibe of a hazy 48 hours from sunrise to sunset.

The in-house design collective have used a contrast of colours to make up the palette using neutral tones of greys to silence the collection against flashes of colors which interrupt the palette. The key inspiration for this collection presents the idea of a weekend in the city from the laidback morning through to the chaos of the night time. B-side by Walé wanted to present this inspiration with different sections using a contrast of color blocking, neutrals and animal prints in order to create full outfits that represent a lifestyle from am to pm.

For SS15 B-side by Walé has introduced a variation of snakeskin print cotton jerseys and lightweight sports tech fabric. Also details such as painted sequins were introduced adding depth to some B-side text sweatshirt graphics. Different weights of cotton jerseys made up the main element of the collection, playing with acid wash fleece backs, prints and contrast colours.

Key pieces of this season will include womens snakeskin print jersey dresses with a feminine twist on the baseball shirt as the main focus, also oversized statement hoodies introduced more attitude alongside the more commercial jersey pieces. Within the mens collection colour block hoodies with heavyweight zip side details, shirts which were reinvented with a streetwear twist using rib sleeve detail.

Some of the statement pieces of this season were given more depth offering the customer matching shorts, t-shirts and vests creating statement sets with both collections. Also PU raincoats were introduced throughout the mens and womens range following the a/w14 statement midnight run jacket which has been a key piece throughout the B-side by Wale collections.
