ABURY Design Experience – Contest For Accessory Designers

ABURY is the first fashion platform that brings together traditional, old world crafts with avant garde design to create a new luxury style that fosters intercultural exchange and preserves world crafts.

“We work with people not for people. Our main goal is to enable people, emerging designers and artisans, to shape their future with their own hands.” ABURY Design Experience is then created to transform this idea into reality. What the ABURY Design Experience is aiming to achieve is simple, yet very substantial. It aims to preserve more world crafts, present more emerging talented designers to the fashion industry, and ultimately to have a positive and sustainable impact within local communities, and the fashion industry throughout.

The ABURY Design Experience is an annual contest in search for emerging designers to create an accessory collection for ABURY using traditional crafts knowledge. Winners will receive a grant up to €5000 and spend approx. 3 months either in Morocco or Ecuador, to develop a capsule collection that will be presented with winners’ name and marketed under ABURY.

The Contest will be launched next week in cooperation with Harper’s Bazaar Germany.
We would like to spread this opportunity also within the network of A frican designers!
