Founder of Prosper Creative Group and the Ivy Prosper Foundation, Producer, Writer, Speaker, TV Host and women’s advocate Ivy Prosper will be hosting the upcoming first edition of Fashion Africa Voices seminar to be held on the African continent, this March 22nd.
As well as host the event she will undertaking an almost “fireside” chat with one of Ghana’s latest risers in the Fashion and Media industry…Maame Adjei – multi-talented producer, actor and artist, named one of 15 African Women to follow on social media by Essence Magazine, Maame is keen on telling visual stories that connect, expose and explore the continent.
With Ivy who has a special interest in the fashion industry in promoting African fashion, who started Branding Fashion Africa as an initiative to build awareness of the fashion brands coming from Africa and the Diaspora, Alongside Maame best known for her role as both actor and co-producer on the hit TV show “An African City” which presented an array of fashion clothing for the shows wardrobe, which was from the African continent, and who is currently producing new content that explores the beauty and dynamism of Africa, including her travel show “Girl Going Places” on Youtube and is keen on telling visual stories that connect, expose and explore the continent.
They will be getting up close and personal Talking about Africa, it’s fashion industry and how TV and social media platforms can influence it. This talk with be another key element to the Fashion Africa Voices seminar brought to Ghana by Africa Fashion Guide in partnership with British Council Ghana, Hatch Africa and Fashion Forum Africa, during the British Council Enterprise Africa Summit.
Fashion Africa Voices have a direct focus on business, entrepreneurship and sustainability within Africa’s fashion and textile industry and brings together a niche group of entrepreneurs and SME businesses with an aim to support their business development goals to drive success in Africa’s textile industry. These Fashion Africa Voices mini talks are an opportunity for those who wish to delve deeper, ask those pressing questions they wish to be answered, as well as the chance to gain the specific industry business advice they need.
