As the international fashion industry ponders the ongoing questions – Is the African marketplace ripe for business? Is Africa Fashion’s final frontier? Is there a growing consumer market in Africa ready to buy? Can Africa be realistically open for international business? Africa Fashion Guide continues to take the bull by its horns and deliver results focused events to address these issues. By strategically bringing together influential stakeholders and actors, being an industry catalyst changing perceptions of Africa’s fashion and textile industry and most importantly encouraging fashion business in Africa!

What to expect on the day

The full day 2016 Fashion Africa Conference event will be set out over 2 large rooms on the top floor of the Richmix, London and entitled The African Market will consist of TedX style keynote speeches in the morning, followed by afternoon panel discussions with international industry leaders and most importantly our first trade expo the F.A.T.E!!

Features of our 2016 anniversary event:

·    One room will host our popular panel style conferences that will raise certain questions for audience interaction.

·    Also a concise selection of top class industry leaders and professionals will share top business and industry knowledge and expertise under “THE AFRICAN MARKET” theme covering retail, consumers, production, technology and more! These will be presented in bite size TedX presentation style in the morning.

·    The second room will host our first expo African fashion product. Our Fashion Africa Trade Expo (the F.A.T.E.) for retail and sourcing of African fashion product is open to international businesses producing in Africa (space is highly limited for the launch event but email events@africafashionguide.com for info)

·    Resources and tools along with trend and textile information will be available throughout the rooms to support your venture into the African fashion and textile industry. It’s THE African fashion business event of the year not to be missed!

 

 

ABOUT EACH AFTERNOON PANEL

- PANEL 1) AfriPAST

This panel will look how far Africa has come in order to look forward – focus is on production, sustainability and the African fashion message of value

- PANEL 2) AfriPRESENT

This panel will look at the message we are getting from Africa today. With focus on

the African consumer, the retail stratosphere – standalone stores, pop ups to online

retailing and ecommerce and the role of design within this.

- PANEL 3) AfriFUTURE

This panel will look at where things are going in African fashion – from trends, textile

technology, to entrepreneurship, manufacturing options and production business parks

to streetstyle, arts and the marketplace as a whole. How the African market appeals

more and more to investors abroad for new business ventures. Africa is also an

opportunity for existing businesses abroad to open up similar businesses there.

Media and researchers are also recognising this and we discuss what angle they are

taking and the opportunity Africa has to offer.

 

Therefore, for the opportunity to listen to the best industry leaders in African fashion in London, together in one place then you cannot miss this event! REGISTER TODAY!
