Jewel by Lisa Colabs with L’Oreal on a Spring/Summer 2013 Make Up Campaign

We are excited about the new collaboration from Nigerian Luxury designer Jewel by Lisa with International Cosmetic Company L’Oreal in Italy. This Autumn Lisa Folawiyo of Jewel by Lisa was showcasing in the Country of Luxe aka Italy for the 2012 Vogue Talents ‘Who is Next’ exhibition and has been participated at other exhibitions such as Touch!, neoZone and Cloud Nine which was hosted by Pitti Immagine through the hard work of Omoyemi of creative development agency, StyleHouseFile’s. On top of this Jewel by Lisa showcased on the luxury fashion retail site Moda Operandi.

So the S/S 2013 campaign that has been released reminds us that this is a label that is not to be reckoned with. Linking up with Cosmetic giant L’Oreal is no joke and no easy task so it is more than exciting to know that the two (both known for colour and beauty) are working together to release a limited edition Jewel by Lisa lipstick and nail polish by L’Oréal.

Being the first time an African fashion brand has collaborated with such a large international beauty brand is something to shout home about. And it is this type of colab that takes African fashion out of the continent and into the global fashion market and THAT is what changes perceptions.
