Lalesso Colabs with Pichulik to Present a Bag Collection

lalessoxpichulik

Lalesso was launched in 2007 by co-designers Olivia Kennaway and Alice Heusser. A well established ethical and fair trade fashion pioneer, Lalesso draws inspiration from the East African khanga cloth creating luxurious contemporary summer clothing where the African print resonates as the brands strongly identifiable trademark.

After 5 years of industry exposure Lalesso is sold in 22 counties by leading retailers around the world, including Anthropolgie, Madison LA and The One & Only Hotel’s.

Being a proudly African brand, one of the key objectives for the company is to create fair, ethical and sustainable employment.  All Lalesso garments are produced under highly conscious and transparent ethical practices in Kenya. It is also one of the first clothing brands in the world to have become a certified Carbon Zero Company.

The Lalesso X Pichulik marriage began when Lalesso invited Pichulik to create the neck pieces for their much anticipated Spring Summer 2013 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Cape Town.

After a meeting of minds and a mutual appreciation for resort collections, traveling, Africa and aesthetics of the exotic, it seemed only natural to join forces again. Thus we present the Lalesso x Pichulik collection features 3 designs – a duffel, a purse and a foldover clutch – a marriage between the Lalesso fabrics with the Pichulik signature ropes and accessories.

A romantic holiday of dancing ‘til dawn, midnight salty-sea swims, exotic markets with decadent smells of mandarin and sweet papaya. Laughter, friends and bags to carry you through those lazy lunches, bicycle adventures and evenings where you breathe in the promises of summer and get ready to just – let go.

Lalesso has gained an impressive celebrity following with style icons such as Sienna Miller, Kate Moss, Kimora Lee Simmons, Elle MacPherson, Estelle and Mary Charteris becoming supporters.

We adore this bags, they are a great reflection of the Lalesso brand and we are looking forward to seeing more colabs from them.
