Check out Stella Jean “Wax Printastic” SS13 Collection

Hello  gorgeous  people!  Here’s a reportage of Stella Jean Spring / Summer 2013 collection. You can also see the final walk of the models and a video interview with the designer (see link here). If you are following me during the first few posts I did a year ago when I first started the blog, I already featured Stella when she won as one of the Vogue Talents last year, you can see here. Last year she designed for women who are part of the history and this time she is bringing us into a journey. It’s  like preparing to a once in a lifetime journey. Where women are looking like the modern Adele in a French film - Les Aventures extraordinaires d’Adèle Blanc-Sec.

Definitely, staying true to her French-Italian origin but at the same time rendering a  fashionable and wearable garments and accessories. Before and after the models walk with the clothes, there was a video clip presenting the woman of this collection. I was really taken into another destination where women are ready to embark for a journey. A journey to explore and discover the world and themselves.

This is a total combination  of the French Adele and the leading lady of Indiana Jones, Irina Spalko played by the impeccable Cate Blanchett but this time with a modern twist, more lady-like adventures. It’s a romantic, exciting play of colors, jetsetting to an unknown jungle that only glamour, drama, thrill and titillating impulse are waiting.  Stella who once used to be a model brought out her intelligent styling ability through mixing of printed dark Haitian textile with rhinestones and light printed tops with parrots, vintage cars and exotic flowers. The numerous bangles and colliers really caught my attention plus the colorful-fabric prints on the clutch. My desperation of not being able to take a photo on the clutch. Over-all this show is beyond admiration especially being sited front row.
