Black Fashion Week Paris 2012

A few days after Paris fashion week, the city will host the top global black designer from the African diaspora for the first edition of BLACK PARIS FASHION WEEK from October 4-6th 2012.

Organized by Senegalese designer Adama Paris, this unique event will be held at the Pavilion Cambon Capucine (46 rue Cambon Paris 2), close to the famous Place Vendôme and the prestigious Ritz palace.

After a select Black and Gold opening on October 4, the podium will scroll through the models and designers from around the world for two days to express black fashion trends and innovations.

Support of the event include:

Youssou Ndour, Rossy de Palma, Kareen Guiock, China Moses, Rokhaya Diallo, Nadège Beausson Diagne …

With 10 years of experience hosting Dakar Fashion Week, plus two editions of the African Fashion Awards and a Black Fashion Week in Prague, Adama Paris and her team have now launched Black Fashion Week in Paris.

The event that aims to “raise awareness of contemporary black design and creativity beyond African borders.”To remain faithful to this spirit, a contest will nominate a leading young designer who will show alongside the top designers. Conditions of participation and the jury will be published via our Facebook page Black Fashion Week soon!

The event will be accessible primarily by invitation, only a few places will be available to the public.
