AFROCHIC SWAP

Christelle KEDI is an award winning make-up artist born and raised in Paris. She has a background in training at London College of Fashion and then she  started her London-based consultancy specialized in make up & fashion guidance for media industry. Christelle mainly focus on ethical beauty and Afro aesthetics and has extensive experience working in the industry as a beauty editor, beauty salon manager and beauty curator. She has worked with National Geographic Green, The Voice, Promota magazine, Knowledge Fountain business magazine, New African Woman UK and Scarf to name a few. She has also worked for clients such as London Fashion Week, London Design Week, Afro Hair & Beauty show 2012. We are excited to be working on an upcoming project with Christelle in the following weeks!

For now we want to introduce a couple of events that she is putting on in London.

She is encouraging all to come and swap your African Fabrics and African Clothes & Unused Beauty Tools and Products.

BASIC SWAP RULES
In other to make this an enjoyable experience for all. Please follow this simple guidelines.

- Clean It, Iron It, Fold It.
- Keep to the Theme: African Textiles/ Clothes Only
- For Beauty Products: Unused Products Only
- For Beauty Tools: Only Clean tools will be considered for Swap

Time: 11.00am to 6:00pm

Entrance: £5

On top of this she has a recycling project based on beauty tools. She and her team are seeking ways to develop the concept of beauty box detox by encouraging black women to swap their unused beauty products (nail colors, eyeshadows and powders left at the back on their bathroom boxes) and not used beauty tools such (extra make up brushes or combs).

Christelle Kedi is the Make up artist of the year 2012 (Women 4 Africa) and Body adornment curator. Associated with Scarf Magazine and NUMBI she wants you to get in touch and get involved.
