invitation card -Sylvia Owori

The latest collections by designer Sylvia Owori will be presented during the 2012 FOREVER LOVE fashion show at 7:00pm at the UMA show ground on Friday, 23rd March 2012. The theme to create jobs and eradicate poverty through fashion is very admirable and so we see this as a must attend event this March in Uganda.

The Ugandan designer who has been at the forefront of fashion in Uganda since the early 90’s was inspired by Africa and promises to make bold statements at her highly anticipated fashion show. Sylvia Owori’s collections are best described as timeless, classy, elegant and daring. At the Forever Love fashion show the designer will present outfits from different ranges including the resort and ready to wear. Each range incorporates a great mix of vibrant colors, materials and prints. Sylvia Owori designs for the confident woman in whatever form they come. She envisions a woman with delicateness but with a strong heart and spirit and this dream will show throughout her collection.

The fashion show is primarily a showcase for original African fashion with several outfits made from a blend of Kitengi and other African materials and accessories. Sylvia Owori will also boldly addresses environmental awareness by presenting several outfits made from recycled materials like denim. Most of the outfits to be showcased have been made by a group of local women under Sylvia Owori’s community development project in Mukono thus creating jobs eradicate poverty through fashion.

In addition to being a unique opportunity to showcase the latest collections from the legendary Ugandan designer, the event promises to attract the participation of some of the most creative makeup artists, trend setting hair stylists and stunning runway models.

The forever love fashion show is produced in conjunction with PEPSI, Events Warehouse, graphic systems, Red Pepper and African Woman Magazine.
