SUNO NY brings Sneakers from Kenya

suno sneakers

SUNO is a New York based womenswear label founded in 2008 by Max Osterweis in collaboration with designer Erin Beatty. The collection was launched in Spring 2009 after post-election violence threatened to damage the economy and industry in Kenya and for a long time they have been known to use vintage Kenyan textiles that Osterweis had been collecting for years. They created their first small collection, produced predominantly in Kenya. SUNO has evolved its business to include production in Kenya, India, Peru and its home base of New York.

SUNO Sneakers

Most excited we are to hear that this December SUNO NY have launched our first collection of limited edition SUNO sneakers. Produced with recycled rubber and excess fabrics in Kenya, they are happy to say this project helps to eliminate waste as well as create jobs.

For every pair purchased, a portion of the proceeds will go to The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, preserving Kenyan wildlife and fostering young elephants and rhinoceroses

SUNO NY clothing is available at more than 60 retailers worldwide, including Barneys New York, Opening Ceremony, Ikram, Browns Focus, and Lane Crawford. ANd SUNO Sneakers are exclusively available at SUNO Online.
